UScellular no longer publishes its own support content; uscellular.com redirects to t-mobile.com, so no forwarding code or account-number location could be verified and those fields are null. The acquisition, the cancellation and cutoff dates, and the instruction to dial 611 to transfer a number are verified from T-Mobile’s own transition FAQ and newsroom post. Checked 2026-09-11.
Forward calls
1
Check who actually serves the line first
UScellular’s wireless business was acquired by T-Mobile and uscellular.com support pages now redirect to t-mobile.com. There is no live UScellular self-service documentation to follow.
2
If the line has moved to T-Mobile, use the T-Mobile codes
Dial **21*1 then the 10-digit number then # to forward all calls, and ##21# to stop.
3
Otherwise call Customer Care
Dial 611 from the device while temporary network access is still active and ask them to set or confirm forwarding.
4
Call your business number from another phone
Answering Agent listens for the call. When your agent picks up, the phone numbers step in your dashboard turns green.
Good to know
- No UScellular forwarding code could be verified from an official UScellular page. Every uscellular.com support and device-tutorial URL now 301-redirects to t-mobile.com, including the call forwarding tutorial pages that search engines still index.
- Historic third-party write-ups quote *72 and *73 for UScellular. That was not confirmable on any live official page and is deliberately not recorded here.
- If the line has already been migrated to the T-Mobile network, the T-Mobile short codes apply. Confirm which network the line is on before quoting a code to a customer.
Move your number
Start the move from Dashboard, then Phone numbers, then Add a number, and choose Move my number. Upload your latest bill and we read the details for you. Have these ready:Watch out for
- UScellular’s wireless operations closed into T-Mobile on August 1, 2025, including customers, stores, and spectrum.
- For accounts that could not be moved automatically, T-Mobile says the UScellular account is cancelled on September 1, the line keeps working at no charge for up to 30 days, and network service ends after September 30. The FAQ does not state the year.
- After that cutoff there is a 60-day window from the September 1 cancellation date to restart service with T-Mobile and then port out. After the 60 days the number is permanently lost.
- Online account access ends after August 28, so a business cannot look up its own account number in a portal late in the process. Get it off the final bill or from Customer Care first.
- This is a hard deadline on a phone number, which is the kind of thing a business discovers only when calls stop. Treat any UScellular number as time-critical.
- Not verified: the UScellular account number location, whether a transfer PIN exists, and any port-out lock. UScellular publishes nothing on these any more and T-Mobile’s answer is simply to call 611.
