*Ecommerce API Key is required for cancellations, upgrades, downgrades, and retention discounts. Without it, the AI can only look up customer information.
If API fields are missing in Sonny’s or keys cannot be generated, request API access from Sonny’s support or your account representative. API credentials are not the same as Sonny’s Controls or Backoffice login credentials.

Setup Steps

Get Your Sonny's API Credentials

Log into your Sonny’s Dashboard → Settings → API. Copy your API ID and generate a Data API Key and Ecommerce API Key. If API settings are unavailable, contact Sonny’s support to enable API access for third-party integrations.

Add Integration in Answering Agent

Go to Answering Agent Dashboard → Integrations → Add Integration → Sonny’s Car Wash.

Enter Required Fields

Paste your API ID, Data API Key, and Ecommerce API Key into the form.

Test the Connection

Click “Test Connection” to verify everything works.

Go Live

Enable the integration. Your AI agent now has access to Sonny’s data during calls.

If your API section is unavailable, send Sonny’s support or your account rep a request for:
  • API ID
  • Data API Key
  • Ecommerce API Key (if available)
  • API access for third-party integrations

Common Issues & Fixes

Cause: Data API Key is missing or invalidFix:
  1. Confirm Data API Key is entered in Answering Agent integration settings
  2. Re-copy key from Sonny’s dashboard without extra spaces
  3. If key options are unavailable, request API access from Sonny’s support
Cause: Wrong API ID or expired keysFix:
  1. Verify you’re using the API ID (not Location ID)
  2. Generate fresh keys in Sonny’s dashboard
  3. Check for extra spaces when copying
Cause: Missing Ecommerce API KeyFix: Add the Ecommerce API Key. Cancellations require this separate key from Sonny’s.
Cause: Phone number mismatchFix: The AI will ask for an alternate number. Ensure primary phones are up to date in Sonny’s.
Cause: Customer exists in Sonny’s but has no active recurring membershipFix: Confirm membership status in Sonny’s and verify you’re searching the right account and phone number.
