There are two ways to get at your Answering Agent data. Connect an AI app over MCP to ask questions in plain English. Use the API to pull the data into your own code.

Option 1: Ask Claude or ChatGPT (MCP)

You need an owner, admin, or manager login for the team.

Add the server to your AI app

Add a custom connector with this URL:
Go to Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector. Enter Answering Agent as the name, paste the URL, and click Continue. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector first.

Sign in and approve

The app opens a sign-in window. Sign in with your Answering Agent dashboard login, check the team name, and click Approve. Then allow the app to access your account.

Ask a question

Try one of these:
  • “How many calls did we get this week, and how many did the AI resolve on its own?”
  • “What did customers ask for most this week?”
  • “List the open tasks assigned to me.”
The app looks up the answer in your account.

Option 2: Call the API

The API quickstart takes three steps. Create an API key in Settings → API Keys, store it in ANSWERING_AGENT_API_KEY, and request GET /account with curl or JavaScript.
